New York-Presbyterian plans to close the Allen Hospital’s psychiatric unit and replace it with a more lucrative spine center. Join us for a community conversation about saving Allen Psych and putting people over profit!
We will discuss mental healthcare in New York City and its connections to racial and immigrant justice, health insurance, housing, and the prison industrial complex. The largest provider of psychiatric care in New York is Rikers Island, and we believe that a better world is possible.
This event will feature a panel conversation moderated by psychotherapist Karina Aybar-Jacobs. We will announce panelists soon!
